Wall to show movie on 40-foot screen Friday

The Wall Township Recreation Department will be hosting a family movie night on Friday, Aug. 22 at 8 p.m. at the soccer field at the municipal complex, 2700 Allaire Road.

There will be a giant 40-foot movie screen showing a recently released hit movie. This movie is geared more towards children, but adults will enjoy it as well.

Those attending are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and snacks to enjoy an evening under the stars watching a great movie with the family, said Wall Township Recreation Coordinator Ed Grill. An ice cream truck and Mrs. Field’s cookies will be available, as well.

The recreation department had previously shown a movie on an outdoor screen two years ago, but Mr. Grill says this year’s event will be bigger and better. "This year we’re really knocking it out of the park," he enthusiastically stated.

Mr. Grill urges those who plan on attending to arrive around 7:30 p.m. so they can land a good spot to watch the movie from.

The recreation department would also like to thank GoodSports USA for helping them sponsor this night and for helping to make the night happen.
